The Peasant Citadel from Rasnov:
It is the main touristic attraction of the city and it was ranked among the most beautiful ten castles in the world. It is a fortified assembly situated on a limestone hill; which offers a spectacular view of the surrounding cities. Access can also be made from the city centre of Rasnov with the use of a lift inclined with a rack.
The Citadel Cave:
It is about 958 m long and it is the only cave in the entire Brasov County. Access is made on a forest foot path extremely pictoresque and relaxing. The cave is polished inside with the latest technology; the cold led light or the total darkness experience will be forever remembered by all visitors. Here, in this cave, classical music concerts are held weekly.
Dinopark:
It is one of the biggest dinosaur parks in the South – East of Europe, spreaded on a total area of 1.4 ha and hosting 45 real size dinosaurs, scientifically confirmed. The biggest dinosaur is 20 m tall and 22.4 m long, and the smallest is only 30 cm .
Bran Castle (Dracula Castle):
It will only take you a 20 minutes’ drive to get to Bran, where you can visit the 4 floors museum-castle. There you can see exhibited ceramic collections, furniture, weapons and armours, and even visit the secret corridor.
Libearty Bear Sanctuary, Zarnesti:
Libearty Sanctuary is the largest stock of brown bears around the world. It covers 69 hectares of forest and hosts nearly 100 bears saved from captivity. It gives you the opportunity to visit and admire the bears freely with the tourist train in the company of specialized guides.
Piatra Craiului Mountain:
Discover areas full of legends and unforgetable places starting your journey from Rasnov and going towards Piatra Craiului through Cheile Zarnestilor passage, that is, big rocky walls 10 m high, separated by a stone track that goes up in the mountains, accompanied by a small stream that only flows after heavy raining.
PELES and PELISOR castle:
The Castle of Peleş (Sinaia) was built on the initiative of the First King of Romania, Carol I, in 1874. It is a precious value and is an important component of the cultural dowry with historical and artistic valor. Peleş Castle is one of the most important historical monuments of this type in Europe.
